Hi, I’m Stephanie. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me!

I have a Multiple Subject teaching credential grades K-8 and an extensive background in education with 18 years experience teaching kindergarten, first and second grade. I have taught reading and phonics with a focus in phonemic awareness, fluency, sight word recognition, comprehension and vocabulary. In addition to teaching, I have tutored in an after school homework center by helping students complete assignments.

I specialize in preparing the youngest learners. Kindergarten has become very academic and students can fall behind quickly. The beginning is so important and I’m here to help! I enjoy working with young learners and helping them build their confidence! I am patient, enthusiastic and eager to help your child! I have experience designing lessons specific to a child’s needs. I have worked with all learners including Multilingual Learners, students with ADHD and Dyslexia.

I graduated from San Jose State University with a BA in Liberal Studies. I have completed a comprehensive Orton-Gillingham training along with multiple Science of Reading trainings for the most current and up to date methods of teaching reading.
