About Miriam

Bio

I have a doctoral degree and extensive experience as a Literacy educator, university professor, school principal, classroom teacher and Director of Curriculum and Instruction, K-12. I work closely with students to assist them in meeting and exceeding the demands of the current, rigorous Core Curriculum Learning State Standards in English Language Arts across the content subject areas of social studies and science.

I have a doctoral degree and extensive experience as a Literacy educator, university professor, school principal, classroom teacher and Director of Curriculum and Instruction, K-12. I work closely with students to assist them in meeting and exceeding the demands of the current, rigorous Core Curriculum Learning State Standards in English Language Arts across the content subject areas of social studies and science.

Students learn strategic skills and improve in academic achievement of foundational knowledge, comprehension, writing, higher order thinking, academic language and vocabulary, using complex texts in preparation for state and SAT exams, as well as for careers and college.

Individual and group tutoring sessions are offered and custom-designed based and differentiated to match individual needs.
