I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Idaho State University. I was introduced to tutoring and teaching early in my undergraduate studies. While I was pursuing my Associate of Science at Montgomery College in Maryland, I had the opportunity to be employed at the Math, Accounting, Physics, and Engineering Learning Center, first as a student aid tutor, then as a temporary staff master tutor in Math, Physics, Engineering, and Statistics. Ever since, I have tutored in different settings, public as well as private, building a solid experience to support my knowledge background.

Math has always been a passion, and teaching it has been even more rewarding. My experience both as a professional tutor and as a student working with other students give me the ability to understand each student in their environment and use their story to help in a very efficient way.

My first and foremost goal is to help students, so I am always open to any suggestion or rearrangement that the students or their parents may offer. Please feel free to contact me for any question or to schedule a lesson.

Microsoft Excel

Hi, My name is Amevi. I'm a General Math and Programming tutor. I graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Microsoft Excel is one of the majorly used engineering calculation tools, so throughout my undergraduate career, I learned to master it and teach it to other students. My Excel tutoring experience began back in 2014 when I helped a friend solve an important problem with his plumbing company using Microsoft Excel. He was so delighted that he advised me to start tutoring it to help others, and since, I've helped multiple students across the nation bloom their Excel abilities. I'll be glad to do the same with you. If you are ready to conquer your Excel hidden skills, let me know and we will take things from there. Thanks

I've spent 25 years of my life in a French speaking country, Togo. I grew up speaking French and learning it for other purposes. I studied French Litterature, Francophon African Litterature, Technical writings, and of course, Grammar and Conjugation. I've taught French in a local High School in Togo from 2009 to 2011 and have been tutoring it since 2007.

Statistics

Statistics

I was a math major at the University of Lomé, Togo in West Africa for three years before coming to U.S. I had high level math, probability and statistics classes. I've also been tutoring statistics since 2014 at Montgomery College. Different teaching and learning styles that I learn from back in Togo and in the U.S. gives me the ability to conform to the student and find better and better ways to improve understanding and achieve the student's goal.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I am a mathematics graduate and have been tutoring Algebra for the past 6 years both in learning centers and in private settings. My strong mathematical background and diverse experience give me an incomparable adaptability in the face of tutoring challenges. I'm always eager to find new ways to explain seemingly complex mathematical concepts. This gives me a unique position to help my students achieve their math goals inside and outside of class. Finally, as a multilingual individual, I'm always excited to learn new things especially from my students. My ultimate goal is to make my students so well-versed in the subjects that they could teach them if they wanted to, because the next step of learning is teaching. If this sounds interesting to you, and you are wondering what the next step towards the full bloom of your math abilities is, please feel free to contact me and we will take things from there. Thank you very much and looking forward to hearing from you
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I'm a undergrad junior student at ISU majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Math. As my background indicates, I've learned the right skills to help a student succeed in any undergraduate math course. I've been tutoring all levels of Algebra both on a professional level and on a private level for 3 years now. My experience with different students and different teaching and learning styles give me a unique set of tools to successfully accompany a student through any algebra course. The end goal is for the student to gain the grade he envisioned at the beginning of the course. However, beyond that, my first goal is to make the student understand the course materials so that he can be able to apply them not only in the current course but also in all other course related to that one. Success is achievable only through pursue of excellence.
Calculus,

Calculus

Coming from a Math background (math major until senior level), I learned the right means to help a student succeed in any undergraduate math course. I have been tutoring Calculus 1 and 2 for a little more than 2 years now, and my experience with different students and different teaching and learning styles give me a big plus to successfully accompany a student through those courses. The end goal grade is set up at the beginning of the lessons. However, far beyond that, my first goal is to make sure the student understands the materials to apply them in the current course and or in any course related to this one.

For the past two years and a half, I've been a general math, including Precalculus, tutor at Montgomery College at Germantown. I was hired at Montgomery College, not only because of my bachelor degree level math but also because of my mechanical engineering major that I declared at Montgomery College. I was successful in tutoring Precalculus because of the different experiences I had with many students who were taking the course, giving me a handful of different ways to tutor the subject
