My names Shyanna and I'm a graduate from New Underwood High school. I am moving to Alexandria to continue my education at Alexandria Tech. During my high school career I played basketball from 6th grade all through my Senior year. I was pulled up from 8th grade Jr High Basketball to play Varsity basketball. I started on varsity since my freshman year. My sophomore year I received a letter asking me to participate in Down Under Sports playing on a National Team. I went to Australia for two weeks and competed with other teams from the U.S, Australia, and New Zealand. As a junior I scored 140 points alone, my team continued to play a hard year and won District Championship. Continuing my sports knowledge into Volleyball, I also played from 6th grade to Senior year. Then, I was also pulled up in the 8th grade to play varsity, I played a middle, middle back, and a left occasionally. I had impeccable coaching and hope to pass that knowledge on to eager learners.
My next subject is reading, reading has always been a passion of mine, from the time I was old enough to read I always had a new book to replace the old. I found that all the reading I had done has paid off in school and testing, by being able to decipher text and reword things to my understanding has helped me develop. In school we do annual testing to place where students needed more help and such, well, reading has always been my high point and I always ranked in the National levels. It seems easy to me because I love to read, but to others it seems dull. I find it extremely important to find something to read that peaks your interest, it draws you in and helps you down the road when you have to read something you don't exactly like but will know how to read and how to apply it.
Thank You,
Shyanna
