I have over fifteen years of experience tutoring to high school, college, and graduate students. My specialty lies in tutoring mathematics in several areas such as calculus, abstract/linear algebra, differential equations, real/complex analysis, algebraic and differential topology/geometry. I also give lessons for physics and engineering courses, e.g., statics, electrodynamics, general relativity, quantum and statistical mechanics, particle physics and cosmology, fluid dynamics and continuum mechanics. In my experience, I've found that students learn the physical sciences most efficiently through conceptual-based learning and active engagement in problem solving. Because of this, I will teach you problem solving strategies and help you improve mathematical proficiency through challenging problems. I will also help you build intuition needed to break down difficult concepts.

I give both individual and group sessions. I am usually available in the mornings and afternoons, but I'm flexible with students. My sessions are of two types; one for assigned work (homework, tests, etc.) and one centered on problem solving techniques and methods of proof. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, but I offer makeup sessions.

I look forward to hearing from you! I'll help you succeed in your studies!

Best math and physics tutor a student could ask for

Eugene has helped me tremendously over the last year with my physics and maths studies. A year ago I enrolled in a Master in Quantum Technology degree in light of not having studied math and physics for the past 15 years. I trialled 8 others tutors, but once I had a lesson with Eugene I realized there would be no-one else close to his level. Eugene is patient and extremely knowledgeable. There has never been a question that I've had that he didn't know how succinctly answer and explain. I have performed well beyond my expectations and have Eugene, mainly, to thank for that. I highly recommend him!

Knowledgable across multiple math subjects

Eugene was so helpful in my multiple different math classes. I first reached out for my math class in number theory. I was really struggling with understanding the material, and he was very patient and helped me work through both the material and homeworks, which improved my performance on my tests dramatically. I was also in a probability class at the same time and he had no trouble switching over and helping me with that class as well. He is always very patient and makes sure to explain thoroughly, mentioning details my professors will miss. He is also always willing to re explain something if it doesn't click the first time. I am now in another math class and am continuing my work with Eugene.

Knowledgeable tutor for colllege level math

Eugene was terrific on a complex math topic typically taken by college students in their sophomore or junior year. He communicated very well and quickly. His availability on the weekend was extremely helpful to us since the weekday schedule doesn't have much room. We plan to use his services again in future.
