My name is Cassandra. I have been tutoring for over 20+ years. I started off by tutoring family and friends. I decided to go back to school to get certified as a teacher. While participating in the Teacher's Certification Program at York College, I learned that I truly do love teaching but I preferred to do one-on-one tutoring and/or small group settings.
I love tutoring because it allows me to be flexible with my schedule, i get to help people, and I can do something that I love to do...

I love tutoring because it allows me to be flexible with my schedule, i get to help people, and I can do something that I love to do without having to quit my job that I have been working on for 13 years.
I have tutored both high school students and college students who were in remedial math classes. I have helped them to develop a better understanding of math concepts and taught them how to identify their weaknesses and strengths.
I have successfully completed Student Teaching courses for Elementary. I have worked with students as young as four years old. I have helped them to develop their math skills and attitude towards mathematics.
I am interested in teaching math (Elementary, Prealgebra, Algebra) since this has always been my favorite subject in school. I am hoping to further extend myself in Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry in the near future. If you're looking for someone who is patient, caring, hard working and fun then I'm your person.
