I have a Master's in Nursing Education (MSN) from Northern Kentucky University. I also obtained my undergraduate education at NKU for both ADN and BSN degrees, graduating summa cum laude. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. I have been teaching nursing students for six years in various different roles in Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky. I currently teach a medical surgical nursing course at a local college to prelicensure nursing students. I have experience teaching specialty nursing classes as well such as pediatrics. I have six years of tutoring and nursing education experience, in addition to twenty years of clinical experience as an RN. Prior to working as a nursing educator, I enjoyed working in various hospital specialty areas including Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Oncology, and Neurosurgery to name a few. I am also passionate about pediatrics as I started my career 20 years ago working with infants and children at Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati in the ICU. These children required specialized burn care, plastic and reconstructive surgery; wound and skin disorder care; and specialized care for cleft lip and palate. My clinical expertise extends across the lifetime. I have experience tutoring adult nursing students of all ages, and abilities. I customize individualized tutoring plans based on the learner's needs. I enjoy tutoring students who speak English as a second language. LPN, ADN, BSN, MSN nursing degree students are all welcome!
