I really enjoy working with middle school students one on one to help them learn,succeed and gain confidence. I strive to make every tutoring session both interesting and meaningful.

I developed "Film in America" class for 8th graders at an area middle school and taught class for over 5 years. Curriculum included students watching and researching a movie (independently )from selected films from the AFI "Top 100 Movies of all time" and presenting their movie review to the class.The history of American films included units on silent movies,animated movies,famous cinematic actors and classic movies,movie special effects. Class wrote ,rehearsed and filmed an original silent movie each semester.

I have taught 7th and 8th grade Drama in San Mateo, CA, for 12 years and have directed musicals (most are full lengthy Broadway shows ) at an area middle school for over 20 years. The Drama class curriculum has included pantomime, improvisation, Reader's Theater, radio shows, one act plays and writing original short plays. Each year, I direct every aspect of the after school musical production (selection of show, auditions, rehearsals, tech week, performances) plus I oversee a variety of parent volunteer and coordinate all activities with my staff (music director, choreographer, scenic designer, costume committed and fund raising).
