I have been tutoring for more than 20 years. I have ample experience in preparing students for general English, Kurdish and Turkish languages. I am a native speaker of Turkish and I have been teaching Turkish to foreigners for more than 20 years. I am also the author of a Turkish book.

I am a Kurdish, English and Turkish language specialist. I was born and brought up in Hakkari – Semzina, Turkey where Kurdish (Kurmanji-Bahdini) is the native language. I had my entire education in Turkish and English. Because of the proximity of my hometown to major Kurdish dialects, I had the opportunity to interact with diverse Kurdish linguistic communities and learnt the language with regional nuances and dialects.

As a Kurdish language expert I am fluent in Kurdish (Kurmanji/Bahdini), Turkish and English. I have written course books both in Kurdish and English. I have also translated and edited extensively using my linguistic knowledge and expertise of Kurdish, Turkish and English. In this context, I have edited and written articles and books in these languages and was the translator and advisor for the book “A Fire in my Heart”: a collection of Kurdish tales collected by the American story teller Diane Edgecomb.

As I did my practicum at Voice of America (VOA) Kurdish Service where I mainly contributed to translation (English into Kurdish) and voice overs. Currently, I am working for Voice of America Kurdish Service as an International Broadcaster.
