About Anthony

Bio

I have been playing guitar for over 25 years. I have experience in teaching aspiring guitarists without using a "one size fits all" approach. I adapt to the students' interests and needs while trying to make the experience fun. For beginners, we will get right into playing simplified versions of actual songs on the very first lesson. Though not mandatory, I recommend getting into learning other things besides playing songs such as gear, ear training, playing in a band, theory and creating...

I have been playing guitar for over 25 years. I have experience in teaching aspiring guitarists without using a "one size fits all" approach. I adapt to the students' interests and needs while trying to make the experience fun. For beginners, we will get right into playing simplified versions of actual songs on the very first lesson. Though not mandatory, I recommend getting into learning other things besides playing songs such as gear, ear training, playing in a band, theory and creating your own music.

Though my college major was not in music, I studied music in college and high school. I have played guitar and bass in original bands as well as a cover band and I have experience playing live.

My priority is to make the learning experience fun because one of the biggest reasons people quit is they are not having fun. Whether it be playing a poker game with friends, playing online or playing a tournament at a casino, I have the experience and knowledge on what decision to make when playing poker with the given conditions. I have been to the casino enough to learn the casino rules on different poker games and played house games following house rules. I've read and learned the concepts of reading body language to help make the decision to call a bluff or make the bluff yourself and I also understand the importance of knowing how to calculate the odds of whether the cards you want to hit or avoid are coming out.

Anthony does a fantastic job working with my 11 year-old son on piano on a weekly basis. He does such a great job that it has motivated my daughter start guitar lessons with him, too! He practices lots of patience and knows how to connect. I would highly recommend scheduling a session with Anthony!

I have never picked up a guitar. Anthony taught me so easily that by the end of my first lesson, I learned how to tune a guitar, the parts of the guitar and what they do and I also played a small piece of a song which was so much fun. He was patient and very thorough without overloading me . I highly recommend!
