Hi! I'm Jacob, I graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering just this past May. I decided I could spend some of my time searching for jobs tutoring students in the fields that I have mastered over the course of my degree. I am a very calm and laid back individual that sees tutoring as another problem to be solved. What I love most about teaching others is that you get to relive the experience of learning something new. I would like to focus most on where the student is struggling and then adapt my teaching method to their needs.

I don't have any direct experience tutoring, yet, other than tutoring family members and friends in high school mathematics such as algebra and pre-calculus. I have also been a part of study groups of around 5 students in each of my college courses, in these groups the students tutor one another. However, I am an incredibly intuitive and fast learner and I love to teach others.

The students I am tutoring come first in regards to all logistical policies. I am new to tutoring, so any suggestions or advice that benefits the student most is paramount to me. In my 4 years of studying chemical engineering, I have been required to master the basic mathematics courses. I have not only taken but excelled in each of my mathematics classes as far as linear algebra.

You may have read that I have no direct tutoring experience and would like to move onto another more experienced tutor. I understand your decision, however I believe I have traits that will make up for my lack of experience.
