I am Mackenzie! I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry! I will be a first year medical student this fall and thus working to obtain my M.D.
I love to teach, which is why I taught Organic Chemistry I and II laboratory classes during my time in undergrad, as well as tutored multiple levels of chemistry. I am most comfortable tutoring chemistry. I have a passion for chemistry and I love helping others unlock their potential!...

I love to teach, which is why I taught Organic Chemistry I and II laboratory classes during my time in undergrad, as well as tutored multiple levels of chemistry. I am most comfortable tutoring chemistry. I have a passion for chemistry and I love helping others unlock their potential! Chemistry is not everyone's favorite, I understand. A lack of interest in chemistry combined with little instructor rapport certainly contributes to the level of student success in this subject. I strive to make chemistry a bearable subject and love to encourage my students.
I also scored well on my ACT exam before college (Reading: 36, English: 35, Science: 34, Math: 32). I can tutor ACT Reading and English and can help with Science passage comprehension.
Everyone learns differently. I like to spend the first session getting to know the student as well as gauging how they learn best. Depending on the level of understanding, I will first either give a little lesson on the subject matter or help them with their assignments. I will give some practice problems of my own and encourage them to solve the problem themselves while supporting and guiding them along.
I have tutored students who are in high school and college. I have taught in the classroom setting and also one-on-one.
