Hi! My name is Liz and I am currently in my eighth year teaching high school history in Massachusetts. I have experience teaching many different history classes including US History I, US History II, Ancient World History, Medieval History, Modern World History, and AP US Government & Politics (ranging from grade 8 to grade 12). I am also currently studying to get my Master of Arts in History, with a focus in American History. Previously, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History, along with minors in education, American Studies, and Italian Studies. I then attended graduate school at Merrimack College where I received my Master of Education degree.
I absolutely love history, writing, reading, and teaching, and I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm with students. My general teaching approach is interactive, I try to make learning hands on and personal. Working one on one with students is a common occurrence in my classroom. I find it essential to get to know students and their varying learning styles. I acknowledge that people learn differently, and I am always willing to work alongside students to figure out what works best for their specific styles.
