My love of teaching comes from a passion and love of learning. As a graduate of Lesley University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing and Literature, I know that dedication to learning and hard work is always worth it. As I have learned and been positively influenced by my instructors at Lesley University, I know how important it is to make an influence on an individual through the power of knowledge.
While a student at Lesley, I experienced growth and the attainment of knowledge through discussion and interaction with other students and the professors. I do not believe that knowledge is a one-way street in which the instructor is merely there to lecture and feed the individual facts. Instead, I believe that knowledge is a two-way street in which the student must have feel like an equal and have a say in what they think and feel about the topic. The only way to truly learn, is to have an initial interest, a desire to explore and discover, and to recognize that knowledge is power.
I specialize in editing, proofreading, and literature analysis. I believe that it is important for the student to have a genuine interest in the subject matter in order for them to be successful, so it is important to me to create a learning atmosphere that is of interest and catered to each individual’s needs.
