I’m a tutor in math, Spanish, and GED. I have experience teaching all ages of students from elementary to adults. I was born and raised in Mexico, where I studied and worked as a Chemical Engineer.

Knowledgeble and encouraging tutor
Luz is very patient and creates a very positive and encouraging environment for learning math. My daughter is always smiling after her lesson with Luz. She also takes the time to understand the material my daughter is workings on and explains concepts in multiple ways and in Spanish, as my daughter's math class is in Spanish.

Best Spanish Tutor I've had!
First off, Luz is such a kind and bubbly person. She makes you feel so comfortable in the session. I love the way she structures her lesson, she has worksheets prepared and makes sure you fully understand a topic before moving on. I was soon able to form sentences in Spanish and understand the rules and structure behind the language which is very important. I would 110% recommend her!!

Today was our first meeting. She asked me a set of questions in Spanish to evaluate how much I could understand. I was to answer in Spanish when I could. She also had me read a story in Spanish for comprehension and helped me with words I didn't know. So she learned a lot about me which she is going to use to craft my first lesson for next week. Loved it!
