I enjoy helping students unlock their potential, gaining the skills and confidence to accomplish their goals. I currently hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology and a Master's Degree in Social Work.

I had the opportunity to work, for two years, as a senior tutor for Alternatives Unlimited, a private tutoring company. I tutored children ages K-12 with low standardized test scores in Math and Reading. This program utilized learning techniques and activities based on mathematics and reading concepts appropriate for each grade level. Each student was tutored in their own home which allowed parents and other family members to support the child in their problem areas and to be more involved in the learning process. It was a pleasure to see the children being excited to learn and to see parents proud of their children.

As an undergraduate student, I tutored high school and community college students in the areas of math, history, biology, psychology, and public speaking. I specialize in all areas of general and abnormal psychology, I have an easy going tutoring style and an upbeat personality, however I have expectations of each student. I will hold every student accountable to insure that they improve and progress at their own pace. I tailor my tutoring style to each student and recognize that every student learns in a different way.

I have a 24-hr cancellation policy; with the option of rescheduling within 48-hours at no charge. I am willing to provide in home tutoring in an quiet environment that promotes learning. I will also meet at locate libraries, or schools of the student's choosing.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope to work with you in the near future!

Highly skilled

Moya is very knowledgeable and skilled. My son felt very comfortable with her so rapport was established easily. She helped him feel at ease when discussing his challenge and encouraged him throughout the process. Moya quickly identified my son’s needs and implemented appropriate strategies to help him. I have already recommended her to a friend.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor.

Moya was caring and thorough. My daughter really connected with her and enjoyed her lesson. She was compassionate and kind and totally prepared for the lesson. We felt fortunate to have her as a tutor.
