About Sarah

Bio

My name is Sarah. I have 14 years of teaching and tutoring experience working with a wide range of students from pre-K to college. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I have a flexible schedule, but only tutor out of my home office in Vacaville or online. I do have a 1-hour minimum requirement for all sessions and the first 5 minutes of after session discussion is free of charge. Sessions can go as long as you want as long as it works with my schedule. I have a 1-hour cancellation...

My name is Sarah. I have 14 years of teaching and tutoring experience working with a wide range of students from pre-K to college. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I have a flexible schedule, but only tutor out of my home office in Vacaville or online. Sessions can go as long as you want as long as it works with my schedule. I have a 1-hour cancellation policy. A 30 minute cancellation is a half an hour charge. If there is no cancellation you will be charged for the full session. I look forward to meeting and helping many students.

In 2011, I graduated from University of Phoenix with a BS in Business Management. I am continuing at the same college to obtain an MA in Education with concentrations in Elementary, Secondary Math, English, and History, as well as Special Education.

I love teaching. I have experience working with children with learning disabilities. My own son has developmental and learning disabilities. I believe that all students learn in their own way, so I am open-minded to the needs of each individual student. I care about my students succeeding and accomplishing what they want. With the right help, they can reach the stars.

Tutor for 4 year old: Great!

Sarah has tutored our daughter twice now. Both times our daughter was able to warm up to Sarah immediately. As we left our most recent tutoring session, our four year old daughter said "can we come back next week so Ms. Sarah can teach me again." Sarah has made learning fun for our daughter. I highly recommend Sarah!

Sarah went through my first chapter with me today to help me understand equations better. She was patient, kind, and never made me feel stupid for not being sure at first. By the time we were done, I felt like I had understood what she taught me. I am hoping to not lose that information moving forward like I have by myself in the past. But even if I do, I will ask her to refresh my brain real quick. I was hesitant on another lesson until I saw how the first one went, but it wen't great and have one booked for an hour on Saturday.
