Dedicated tutor for my kids

Barry tutored my two boys in drawing basics over the summer. Barry is a kind instructor with a great depth of knowledge on the subject. My older son (an almost 12-year old) especially made a giant leap in both understanding and ability. Barry’s lessons have opened the door to self study and an overall interest in drawing in a that regular art classes in school had not. We hope to resume lessons with Barry next summer.

So much patience

My son has been taking drawing with Barry for quite some time now and always looks forward to class. Last week I made the mistake of interrupting class and my son shut down. Barry was empathetic and kind and told him that he would be there when ready. But instead of doing his own thing, Barry started narrating what he was drawing until my son engaged again. When my son finally talked, Barry gave him a choice of either drawing what he just narrated together or if he wanted to watch it drawn again. What an incredible human. We are so lucky to have found him.
