Hello my background as it pertains to teaching, unfortunately I have little to no experience. My experience has been as a behavior assistance and social worker. I began my social work career in 2003 working at a juvenile residential treatment center teaching life skills and restorative justice; also at DCF as a economic self-sufficiency social worker. I have earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology in July 2011 from Columbia College of Missouri and then on to a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from Rollins College in 2017. I have also interned at Florida Southern College as a student counselor and BETA school for Girls where I counseled youth and facilitated group skills. As you can probably gather I enjoy working with youth usually from middle school age to high school and early adult stage. I truly believe learning can occur in many ways outside of the traditional classroom and this is why I believe tutoring is a platform that I would enjoy. I am currently sitting for my License Associate Counselor exam and I currently work from home which allows me to provide time to explore ways I can give back to my community. In this day and age technology and traditional learning is moving in different directions and I would like to be a changemaker. I believe what sets me apart is my experience with mental health and behaviors. This with creative ingenuity will allow me to enrich the lives of my students
