I have a very diverse education comprised of several branches of sciences. My basic degree is in Physics with Mathematics and Chemistry as my ancillary subjects. I also received rigorous training in accounting and business management. I have a Masters’ degree in Advanced Physics with specializations in Solid State Physics, Optics and Astrophysics. I continued my education in the field of biophysics/biochemistry and I was awarded a PhD with specialization in Structural Biology of Plants and Microbes. My postdoctoral research at UMASS Medical School is in the field of Virology where I discovered a novel molecular mechanism utilized by the HIV virus for its maturation and survival. This discovery has now led to the design of new HIV drugs which are currently used in the clinics.

I subsequently accepted a teaching and research position at the Commonwealth Medical College where I continued my profession as a research advisor and course director. In addition to continuing my research in Virology, I also included breast cancer to my research focus to elucidate the underlying specific molecular pathogenesis that lead to tumors. I have supervised graduate research and undergraduate honors projects.
I have held leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry for over two years. I have over 25 peer-reviewed publications in journals with high impact factors. I also have several years of experience in working closely with medical students and their challenges. I have served in various Executive Committees that oversee student recruitment and education. Therefore, I can be a major source of knowledge and career guidance to students who are considering research or medical professions.

I started my teaching profession when I was in graduate school at Indian Institute of Science where I served as a student mentor for junior graduates in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. This experience was instrumental to my later success as a teacher at premier medical institutions in the Nation. I have

I have an advanced degree in science which I followed with a doctorate in Biophysics. I have learned several aspects of public speaking and had to practice the talents on several occasions in front of scholarly audience to earn my degree. I continued my career in biomedical research and science education where I supervised student research programs. I have assisted PhD students to prepare and deliver their scientific materials with utmost confidence and high levels of efficiency. This experience led me to facilitate students to prepare for public speaking. I have thus far taught over 25 students and professionals to be confident speakers and efficient communicators from a podium setup. My teaching philosophy involves a few overarching themes. I teach students to recognize what message they are planning to deliver through their speech. I help them understand how to provide rational arguments to support their message. The rational arguments may be derived from their research outputs or from literature data. Upon assembling these data, I help them connect the data with the appropriate conclusion. Since the data and their conclusion may not always be suitable for a wide-range of audiences, I help them prepare a suitable introduction to facilitate better reception of their message. My specific teaching style includes many of the following steps to motivate students and enhance confidence: 1. Knowledge of the subject and the audience. Never hesitate to include humor and personal stories when appropriate. This will help the speaker to get more confident and the audience will feel a better connection to the material. 2. Rehearse the speech as many times as possible. Best practice would be to rehearse in front of a mirror first and have peer sit through the speech and provide critical comments 3. Prepare for all of the possible scenarios during a speech. 4. I advise students to pause and smile when they feel like they are getting overwhelmed. This usually clears their nerves and they can cont

Adaptability

He finds common ground and uses it to approach the subject material. He asks appropriate questions for alignment and encourages repetitive practice to build excellence. As we move past initial meetings, expect there will be additional worksheet/problem solving during sessions per discussion. Success from Lesson 1.

Comprehensive STEM Tutor

Moses has been a blessing to my son. His breadth of knowledge and command of the material pertinent to my son at this point in his education is beyond compare. It doesn't matter if it's Algebra 2, Physics,Trigonometry, Honors Chemistry, Precalculus..etc; I look no further than his availability schedule. Any dedicated students time with him is well worth the investment.

Very patient tutor

Moses knows how to tailor the lessons. He keeps math interesting and relevant, and he's pretty good at associating math application to hobbies of interest and has kept my son interested in learning.

Best tutor ever

I believe this is the fourth lesson that my son has had with Moses. My son is feeling more confident every time he meets with Moses and goes over his homework. I can't tell you how thankful I am to have Moses helping my son understand calculus. I believe his calculus teacher doesn't know how to actually teach calculus to the students. Moses is very understanding and has giving my son a great deal of confidence that he will pass this course I can't tell you how lucky we feel to have found a tutor with this much knowledge .

Moses Exceeded My Tutoring Expectations!

Moses is not only a man of integrity who is passionate about both teaching and learning, but he is also an incredibly smart and patient tutor! I would gladly endorse Moses and highly recommend him for any tutoring needs you may have, regardless of elementary, high school, college or post graduate academics! From the onset, he was diligent with his communication and flexible with his time or availability. He listen to my academic concerns with an understanding ear and gave me the necessary feedback to help my confidence grow with the subject matter. He not only taught the materials I was covering in my graduate course work, but also created personal tutorials and example problems that were applicable to my course work, as well as real life examples. Whether he was creating Tennessee Titans' roster tutorials to explain linear progression methods or researching other academic publications to further explain math, optimization or business, I enhanced my knowledge of my graduate work, business and Microsoft Excel. Moses exceeded my tutoring expectations and was an invaluable resource for improving my grades and learning. If you hire Moses as your tutor, he will not disappoint and will make you better!

Great Tutor

Moses is not only VERY flexible with time constraints, but he is also very understanding of when things come up and we need to reschedule. When it comes to the actual tutoring, he is quite simply able to take the math problems, and make them into a realistic "real-life" situation. I've never understood my subject so clearly before. And if I don't get it, we don't move on until I completely grasp the subject manner. I wish I would've met him earlier in the semester so I could be ahead of the game, instead of behind. My tutor before was nowhere near as good as Moses, and was one of the most in-flexible tutors I've ever had. I would give him a 1,000 star star review if I could. Definitely a great tutor, and would do anything to recommend him more - if you're contemplating him or another tutor, don't even question it... choose him. You won't regret it.
