My strong fluency is in ASL. I have strong knowledge and a deep understanding of the Deaf's language and culture. I always have enjoyed educating highly motivated students who desire to learn how to communicate in using the beautiful American sign language with deaf people.

I specialize in tutoring HS and college students and also work with interpreters, teachers, and Professionals who work with deaf people. I also teach moms with infants and children.

I have a strong knowledge and understanding of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture and history as I have great experiences of being a very proud Deaf person with the rich education in the Deaf world. I am in process of getting a provisional teaching certificate from American Sign language Teachers Association for me to continue getting training in teaching to prepare me for ASL teaching certificate after I get more experience and skills and plan to take few more teaching courses. Therefore, I do not need to take specific exam for certification in my first language, ASL. My hope is to get ASL teaching certificate within 2 years.

Helpful ASL Teacher

Marcy helped to correct the signs that I was signing incorrectly as well as answering important questions that I had. The most important thing that occurred in our lessons was having conversations. Using ASL as a way of communicating with one another was the most helpful thing that Marcy did.
