I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in theatre. I obtained a master’s degree in elementary education with a focus in Language Arts and Literacy.

I have 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I taught 1st and 2nd grade in California for 10 years to a diverse group of students. I also worked at Sylvan Learning Center as a Reading and Math tutor. In NH, I have taught 3rd, 4th, 2nd, and currently teach first grade.
I use a variety of strategies to help my students learn.

I want them to feel comfortable with new concepts, feel successful and challenge themselves. My lessons have clear, specific objectives. I start by introducing the topic in an engaging and fun manner. Then I explicitly teach the new material followed by guided practice. Students are then given time for independent practice.
