About Atul

Bio

I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis' Olin Business School With a degree in Finance (top 5 undergrad program 2015-2016 as per Bloomberg). While I was in school, I worked full time at a local PE fund and closed 2 deals prior to graduation, upon which I departed to Deutsche Bank's Leveraged Finance/LDCM team covering the Industrials and REGLL sectors. Post-DB I spent 8 months working on a cryptocurrency market research and trading strategy consulting firm with a successful exit....

I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis' Olin Business School With a degree in Finance (top 5 undergrad program 2015-2016 as per Bloomberg). While I was in school, I worked full time at a local PE fund and closed 2 deals prior to graduation, upon which I departed to Deutsche Bank's Leveraged Finance/LDCM team covering the Industrials and REGLL sectors. Post-DB I spent 8 months working on a cryptocurrency market research and trading strategy consulting firm with a successful exit. Afterwards, I returned to the buy side as lead associate at a commercial real estate acquisition fund and led over ~150mm in Acquisitions and Divestitures. I left PE to pursue my interests in earlier stage financings/investments and worked at an angel group focused on frontier tech seed/pre-seed stage investments. Upon closing several strong deals (i.e. Avant Meats, XPlore Space, Mojo Vision, among others), my team decided to start a committed fund and an incubator (at which I am a partner) to help seed/pre-seed stage start ups gain access to financing networks, advisory board candidates, high-level strategic advisory, and human capital through university partnerships with top institutions. I currently advise/incubate 7 high-potential start ups in the frontier tech space with stellar reviews from our incubees and the students who we brought into our program, assigned to teams, mentored, led, and taught throughout the process of our first incubator round.

I discovered my love for mentoring/tutoring/teaching throughout my career by offering advice to anyone who reached out to me, and that love deepened when I began to spend a significant amount of time mentoring/teaching our student interns and our incubees on topics ranging from corporate to financial strategy, team management and development, fundraising strategies, financial modeling, corporate finance, cash-flow management, among others.
