A fun, effective and stress-free lesson.

Jean Luc was interested in my goals and provided a wonderful lesson in which I came away feeling much more confident in my speaking. I am greatly looking forward to our next weekly lesson. He is both extremely nice and knowledgeable. I love that the lesson lasts 45 minutes - in the past, when I have had hour lessons, that last 15 minutes is gruelling. I left the lesson excited about the upcoming one.

We read a story together in French to learn pronunciation, vocabulary, and basic conjugation. Jean Luc provided me with a homework assignment that is very helpful. He is pleasant, a native French speaker and a solid teacher.

Great Teacher, adjusts well to student requirements!

Jean Luc provided great guidance through his lessons in person and as well as online. I will definitely look to take his help again in future for next academic school year. The only thing I would like to mention that lessons were wrapped up in 53-55 minutes and because you cannot share the material in advance, it took up lots of time during online lessons to send material and continue. I will work out a way to share material before online lesson to make better use of lesson time. In all Jean Luc is an excellent French teacher with lots of experience. He works very well according to student's level and requirement.

Very easy to work with

Jean-Luc was very good at establishing rapport and putting me at ease from the beginning. He seems to have an intuitive sense of where and how to begin. I was not sure what to expect and certainly did not think I could participate in a conversation completely in French for an entire hour, but I did! He created and maintained a relaxed environment and provided encouragement while we discussed a wide range of topics. He was interested and engaged throughout our conversation and never at a loss to bring up new topics and questions. Overall, a very good first experience.

Customized tutoring to my specific need

I have been working on my own with a computer program and my progress has been good, but when I joined a French conversation group, I found that I could not comprehend or speak the spoken language. Jean Luc adjusted his tutoring to accommodate my specific need. Although I have only had 2 sessions with him, at my last conversation group meeting I understood most of what was said and I was even able to join the discussion. With Jean Luc's patient tutoring, I feel sure that I will be able to master the language before my visit to France.
