Hello! My name is Teacher Felicia. I have 5 years English/ELA, Reading, and ESL teaching experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Florida State University, a 160 hour TESOL CERTIFICATE and a Reading CERTIFICATE from the Teacher's College at Columbia University.

Hello! My name is Teacher Felicia. I have 5 years English/ELA, Reading, and ESL teaching experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Florida State University, a 160 hour TESOL CERTIFICATE and a Reading CERTIFICATE from the Teacher's College at Columbia University.

I'm an A1 speaker of Chinese and a B1 speaker of Spanish. I am married with 4 kids. I've worked with students from all over the world and have a passion for bridging the cultural and language gap for my students and illuminating the richness of the English language.

For beginning readers we will work on building confidence as we do intensive work on CVC words, CVCe words, blends, digraphs, r-controlled vowels, multi-syllabic words etc. focusing on pronunciation, comprehension and fluency. For more advanced readers, we will read high interest material (fiction and non-fiction) working on advancing vocabulary, comprehension and analysis skills. My goal is to BUILD a LIFELONG LOVE OF READING!

For my ESL/ELL students my goal is to meet my students' individualized English learning needs whether for work or for travel. Learning English isn't "one size fits all" so neither are your lessons. I will structure the lessons to be fun, interesting, and directly applicable to your daily life. We will work on the areas you want to improve like your accent, pronunciation, vocabulary complexity, grammar, comprehension, listening and speaking skills. I will include colorful worksheets and pictures that we can discuss.

My hobbies include swimming with my kids, reading (autobiographies and non-fiction are my favorites), playing piano, and watching East Asian reality shows and movies.
