My basic subjects are Elementary Reading, Grammar, Math, Science and History. I'm familiar with curriculums like Scott Foresman, Holt and Macmillan. I'm currently a senior undergraduate student and my majors is Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I believe that all children can learn and thrive in a learning environment that is stimulating, comforting and appropriate to students' abilities.

I have an exceptional ability to establish rapport with students and parents, based on outstanding communication skills. Beside my general classroom experience, I have dealt with a vast majority of students of different backgrounds and personalities throughout my career. I have also been a Language support Teacher for ADHD students and students with special needs. I'm quite friendly with kids, so it doesn't take me long to break the ice. My first session with your child might include conducting an assessment to determine his/her needs, after we get to know each other. I always try to make sure that I assess my students' individual needs & provide them training according to their specific needs. When children are given information in a way that makes it easy for them to absorb, learning is a lot more fun.

If you need tutoring help in regard to your school/curriculum, exams, or just to better your grades, please feel free to contact me. I'll be more then happy to assist.

Grammar,

Grammar

I believe it is important that children develop four basic skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), and grammar, along with vocabulary, will allow them to do this. Having worked with primary grades, I have noticed grammar is probably the most hated subject by students, competing with math. However, it is important to keep in mind that children are often not able to think in abstract terms, and are still developing mental concepts. That's why I always try to make sure that I introduce them to different kinds of activities related to language support (using pictures, poems, games, quizzes) to keep them excited. Activities which teach grammar indirectly motivate students much more than drills or explanations.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have taught all elementary subjects both as a classroom teacher and a tutor for two years. I have worked with students in grades kindergarten to grade eight. Beside working with younger kids, I am also very good at working with older elementary students. As a tutor, my first few sessions include understanding my student's individual needs & identifying their weaknesses so that we can work on them.
Elementary Math,

Elementary Math

I thoroughly enjoy teaching mathematics to my students. Math is also my major. I have served students from grades KG to seven. I always try to make sure that I assess my student's learning style & deliver my instructions according to their needs.

Phonics,

Phonics

I have taught phonics as an Language support teacher as well as a substitute teacher. I have also tutored that subject for many years. I normally use Spectrum books as I think the content is very easy on the eye and brings good results as compared to the other curriculum I have used. I've worked before as an Elementary and KG teacher in three different schools.
Spelling,

Spelling

What kinds of knowledge would you want every student to have in the beginning of his or her first grade year, because this knowledge is directly related to the subject of reading. The answer would be knowledge of the alphabet and phonics - or you can say, kindergarten and first grade spelling! I believe spelling is extremely important for emergent literacy. I have served as a spelling/language teacher for grades KG-four. I always try to make sure that my students are relaxed about spelling; if not, it will inhibit their writing. They will be less willing to write out their assignments. I believe teaching spelling is something that can best be accomplished gradually, step-by-step and day-by-day. Since spelling is important, it makes sense to me that some focus on spelling and word study be part of students' everyday activity. Spelling words help lay the basic foundation that your child is going to need throughout his education and life.

ADHD

I have worked as a language support teacher for ADHD kids (aged 4-16). I believe kids with attention deficit disorder respond best to specific goals and daily positive reinforcement, as well as worthwhile rewards. I always try to make sure that I divide big assignments into smaller ones, and allow children frequent breaks. Beside that, making time to speak to the student individually always helps.
