Hello! My name is Avani. I love teaching kids and in the past I have helped teach basic math skills through Wyzant as well local tutoring centers such as Kumon. I want your kids to feel confident in what they are trying to get better at and I hope to help do that for them. I am very patience and will do my very best to make sure your kids gets to whatever level they want to be in however long it takes.

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s in information science and have since been working full-time but I have always had to passion of tutoring.

I have always been more confident in my math skills growing up. Growing up as a kid I received tutoring help as well and that really benefited in my math skills today. I am more fast when doing problems now. Even from elementary school I was able to figure out simple skills like multiplication tables very fast. I received A's in my math classes all throughout school. I love teaching elementary level math because that is the base foundation that kids should become good at and helps them as they go into more difficult math subjects.

I think I would really help your kid become more confident in the simple math skills. I know I can encourage them to more effort so that they can get better.

If your child is not only looking for math help but just overall guidance in other elementary school subjects and help them on staying focused, I can still be helpful in those areas as well.
