As an engineer and scientist, I am passionate about STEM education and am familiar with the academic barriers preventing many students from doing what they love. Whether your student is preparing for college applications, studying for the ACT, or working their way through the many levels of math and science courses, I am here to help them succeed.
As a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering with a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University and Master's from UW - Madison, I have a breadth of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics coursework. I can help you or your student understand the most troublesome concepts and gain the confidence needed to tackle homework and exams.
With a 35 ACT and applications to college and graduate schools across the country, I am also happy to offer college and standardized preparation at any point in the process.
I love to teach at all levels! Throughout high school, I offered peer-to-peer small group tutoring in various math classes. Currently, I am in my second semester as a teaching assistant for an upper-level biomedical engineering course, where I get to help about 30 students in a lab and lecture format. To me, working one-on-one with students to identify where they are stuck and seeing the "aha" moment when something click is the best part of teaching.
