About Anna

Bio

I have helped hundreds students boost their SAT & ACT scores! Many of my students now attend schools including Yale, Cornell, and the U.S. Naval Academy. These results come from hundreds of hours of experience breaking down SAT and ACT problems into simple, easy-to-understand steps. During my lessons, I use prompting questions to help students understand the steps they must take to solve problems on their own. I have helped hundreds students boost their SAT & ACT scores! Many of my students now attend schools including Yale, Cornell, and the U.S. Naval Academy. These results come from hundreds of hours of experience breaking down SAT and ACT problems into simple, easy-to-understand steps. During my lessons, I use prompting questions to help students understand the steps they must take to solve problems on their own. I am able to quickly diagnose weaknesses in the areas of time management, reading, math, vocabulary, etc., and turn them into strengths though my guided practice exercises.

I worked as a professional SAT/ACT and Elementary Tutor for Huntington Learning Center before joining Wyzant's platform. I have also guided students though the college admissions process. I have helped many of them improve their personal statements and application essays to reflect their stunning talent and persistent dedication.

When I do have free time, I would almost always rather be tutoring! Lessons with me are fun and engaging, and your student will become well acquainted with the feeling of success after the very first lesson. I am currently a licensed attorney and a 2017 graduate of BYU's J. Reuben Clark School of Law. During my time there, I was a lead editor of the Education Law Journal. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in April 2012 from Brigham Young University.

Worth every penny

My son started working with Anna in advance of the April ACT. They met twice a week, sometimes once a week, and she assigned weekly homework for him to do. I could tell that they hit it off because he never complained about the lessons or the homework. His results came in last week and he improved by 4 points! We had tried different tutoring services in the past, including one of the “guaranteed” classes from a name brand provider, but this was the first time we saw a meaningful improvement. Wish We Had Found Anna Sooner

I have two kids who recently started working with Anna. One of them fired five ACT / SAT tutors before Anna was recommended to us. She was about to give up on standardized testing. Miracle Worker Extraordinaire with PSAT

We had only two days before our child's PSAT. He really hoped for a score high enough to qualify him for National Merit. He had taken a practice SAT before and did not do that great - well not enough to qualify him for the goal he had set for himself. Honestly, it was looking a little grim at the time. Anna was amazing. She understood the time constraint (2 days), but this did not deter her. She assessed what he needed to work on and wasted no time tackling head on the problem areas. She also provided additional notes and resources that would help him. That one hour boosted him 100 points in two days! We got his PSAT score back yesterday, and he scored a 740 out of 760 on the verbal. It put his score where he qualified for National Merit consideration. Anna is a truly talented teacher who provides meaningful direction and encouragement yielding impressive results. We cannot thank Anna enough for her positivity and can-do spirit!

My son began his weekly ACT session with Anna C in May 2023. You will not go wrong with Anna C. My son's ACT mock test improved dramatically since May. My child is not the most focused studious kid. Anna is constantly interacting my child so he does not stray away from the topic during the lesson. Anna just told him last week that we should be shooting for a perfect score on the ACT in September and it is very possible. I was shocked to see how far he has come since he took his PSAT in the Fall of 2022. He has gained incredible confidence from Anna. She is his biggest cheerleader. Anna is worth every penny.
