Hello I'm Andras! I am currently a university student on a pre-medical track with an interest in basic science and GED tutoring. I am a presidential scholar and currently have a 4.0 GPA. Challenges and difficulties grasping material may arise at any point in ones academic career, however, with individualized guidance, support, and hard work any student can overcome the challenges they face in their academics. Throughout my time as a student thus far I have noticed that instructors who lack passion, struggle to support students in need, and are not willing to put in the extra work to ensure their students success do not have seem to have near the academic "outcomes" when compared to instructors who are quite the opposite. This is not a surprise, in fact, oftentimes it is the instructor and not the topic that make classes enjoyable, thus, I find it extremely rewarding to see students who initially struggled to grasp material eventually excel in their studies and pass exams with flying colors. In my approach to tutoring I find it most effective to set clear expectations at the outset to ensure my students are satisfied, additionally, I am serious about creating an individualized plan of action to cater to students various needs. Finding creative yet simple ways to describe and apply topics to the real world works extremely well for students to then relate the information they need to do well in their course(s) and I ensure I incorporate this into my tutoring approach. I also ensure students get sufficient time allocated to practicing problems while I am present that are challenging commensurate with their understanding of the topic so as to allow them to work through problems themselves with me there to support and guide them along the way which I find to be a necessary and effective method.
