About Anna

Bio

I graduated with honors from Earlham College in May 2015, earning degrees in Biochemistry and Politics. Later, in 2022, I received my Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Kentucky.

I have extensive experience in preparing students for chemistry and biology AP, IB, and Aice exams, and I have access to the IB question bank, past exams, and AP practice problems. I prepared material for tutoring IB with a newly updated syllabus (2023). I also offer help with Internal Assessment and...

I attended an IB high school in Canada, where I took Biology and Chemistry HL, History, and Math SL.

To make it easier I turn the concepts into stories. Learning about ion channels is a disco club story, learning abut heart and lung is a swimming story, and so on. I will help you find a way to remember and most importantly connect different concepts. I have taken IB higher level biology, and have completed classes in cellular and molecular biology, physiology, anatomy and genetics.

I was able to understand the sig figs, know how to classify elements, electron affinities, increasing atomic size as well as familiarizing myself with the periodic table of elements. She was VERY patient and was able to construct a flowchart in Module 2 to better understand sig figs. She re-worded questions when I didn't get a concept and stayed with me until I grasped them. She stayed until I completed the whole assignment that was given. I would give her more than 5 stars if I could!
