I graduated St. John's University's Honors Program summa cum laude with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. I am well versed in all of the unique challenges of taking complex biology and chemistry courses, as well as applying for admission to medical schools. The process of getting into medical school can be EXTREMELY overwhelming. It was only after I spoke to others that went through this unique process that I was able to wrap my mind around all of the nuances and deadlines. I was one of the few lucky (and hard working) applicants to get into a NY medical school.
Since then, I have joined the prestigious Teach For America program, and I am currently teaching 8th Grade, Special Education Math and Biology in the Bronx. I have experience teaching Biology, Honors Chemistry, Human Biology, and AP Biology.
I help students in understanding material, as well as creating an effective study strategy that is tailored to the course and students specific needs. I welcome any materials that you may bring to our sessions, and I can make suggestions for more resources that may help.
Lastly, I have three years of experience tutoring in the undergraduate setting, and I welcome any level science student to contact me.
I am looking forward to hearing from you to get started!
