Hello! I’m Allyn and I’m a Wilson Certified Reading Specialist. For over 40 years, I have had the joy of helping learners to experience success in Reading as a classroom teacher, as a Reading Interventionist, and as a private Reading tutor.

Currently, I work with my students both in a virtual environment and in person and I am seeing great success. My tutoring sessions are varied and engaging and tailored to meet the needs of each student. Each lesson is designed to meet the student where they are and move them along on the reading skills continuum. I use positive reinforcement and carefully designed lessons to keep my students motivated for each lesson.

I love reading and I love helping students to become successful readers. I have many methods in my “toolbox” to help my students achieve their goals. Wilson Reading System and Wilson Fundations often form the core of my program, but other strategies often come into play as determined by individual student need.
