Hello! I'm here to help you with Step 2CK or shelf studying.
I am a fourth year medical student at the Tufts University School of Medicine, starting ophthalmology residency next year. I obtained my undergraduate degree at Connecticut College studying Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology and worked in molecular biology research before starting at Tufts for my MD.
During my third year at Tufts, I obtained Honors scores on all NBME shelf exams, as well as a 270 (~96th percentile) on my USMLE Step 2CK examination. I have always enjoyed teaching and tutoring and hope to bring success to you.
I believe that while you can study for a test through sheer memorization, a thorough understanding of concepts will help you to not only perform better on your exams, but perform better as a physician. I try to use relevant, real-life scenarios when teaching to help to solidify concepts. I also excel in question breakdown, getting at the core of what a question is trying to get from you. I do this by asking questions of you to try to help you to understand what it is you need to know to improve.
