I am currently a Librarian. I have two degrees from the University of Pittsburgh- BA in Japanese Language and Literature and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. I tutored in Japanese at the University and I have been tutoring in various subjects since I was 12. I was also a Teaching Assistant for Freshman Programs, a class designed to help freshman get acquainted with the many programs and services the university has to offer as well as a way of building a community among...

I am currently a Librarian. I have two degrees from the University of Pittsburgh- BA in Japanese Language and Literature and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. I tutored in Japanese at the University and I have been tutoring in various subjects since I was 12. I was also a Teaching Assistant for Freshman Programs, a class designed to help freshman get acquainted with the many programs and services the university has to offer as well as a way of building a community among the students during their first semester.
As a librarian I tutor students everyday and help them with a wide range of subjects.

I enjoy helping students succeed and become the best students that they can be.

Math is a subject that has always been dear to my heart and I have tutored in very levels of math since I was 12, but Algebra 1 is my favorite kind of math.

I have completed all levels of Japanese at the University. I am familiar with and have used many Japanese textbooks such as Genki, Japanese the Spoken Language, Japanese for Busy People, and Yokoso. In addition, I work as a Japanese tutor for the Japanese department and I have been for the last two years.

I am a native speaker of English and I also worked for an English Language Institute for two years. I also work as a translator, so my proofreading and grammar skills are constantly being honed in two or more languages.

I love tutoring and my schedule is very flexible. I am willing to tutor online or in person and also for multiple subjects.

Prior to attending college, I went to a two-year college prep boarding school in Muncie, IN. This boarding school is one of the best schools in not only Indiana, but also in the US. At boarding school, my study skills improved tremendously because of the rigorous curriculum. I can offer students a variety of tips on how to study for specific subjects and how to develop good study habits. I would also be able to provide advice on note-taking techniques.

I am currently double majoring in Classics and Japanese at the University of Pittsburgh. I have taken a variety of Classics courses including Greek History, Roman Civilization, Ancient Greek, Gender in the Ancient Mediterranean, Greek Tragedy (theater course), and Greek Mythology. I am familiar with and have studied ancient texts such as the Homeric Hymns, the Aeneid of Virgil, the Iliad and Odyssey, and Ovid's Metamorphoses.
