Hi! I'm Lila! I attended Harvard College, where I studied Human Evolutionary Biology & Social Anthropology. At college, I had a 3.99 GPA, with a perfect GPA in the sciences (Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Genetics, Anatomy, Physics 1&2, Organic Chemistry 1&2). I also have a strong interest in the humanities, and I conducted medical anthropology research exploring Amish attitudes and beliefs about biomedicine.

Hi!
I self-studied for the MCAT for 6 months while doing full-time service work in community health in Alabama. I received a 526 (in the 100th percentile), with perfect scores in Chemical & Physical Foundations of Biological Systems and Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills.
I began tutoring and teaching in 2018, and I have had a variety of tutoring experiences since. I have worked as a study skills mentor, academic writing coach, college essay advisor, and a tutor for high school and college math and sciences. My strength as a tutor is effective communication; I successfully break down complex scientific concepts into digestible components and work with my students to hone their study habits and test-taking strategies.
I am passionate about helping students succeed on the MCAT because there is an exorbitant amount of (conflicting) advice on the internet about how to succeed. Half of the battle is deciding which study materials to use, how to structure your schedule, how to balance content review with practice, whether to use Anki, and more! I spent so much time parsing through this online advice, and I am eager to distill it down to meaningful guidance for my students so that they can get right to studying!!
