Bio

History has always been my favorite subject. But we all have different subjects we need help with! If you struggle with history, I am here to help! I have a bachelor's degree in history with a concentration in Special Education and African Studies. I am available to tutor History/Social Studies (K-12), Language Arts (Grades 1-6), Science (Grades 1-6), MCAS any subject (Grades 1-6)

History has always been my favorite subject. But we all have different subjects we need help with! If you struggle with history, I am here to help! I have a bachelor's degree in history with a concentration in Special Education and African Studies. I am available to tutor History/Social Studies (K-12), Language Arts (Grades 1-6), Science (Grades 1-6), MCAS any subject (Grades 1-6)

I do have one on one experience working directly with Elementary Education students providing them with assistance in the following subjects: science (grades 1-6) history (grades 1-6) language arts (grades 1-6), math (grades 1-6)and MCAS Prep for math and language arts. I have also worked as a preschool teacher for over 3 years teaching children who are 4-5 years old. I directly alter my instruction based on your strengths, weaknesses and learning needs to adapt to your learning styles. My goal is to provide an engaging and enriched tutoring session that is sure to provide academic assistance with whatever subject I am working with!

I have been working as a Behavior Analysts since 2018 working with children with autism as well as an ADHD diagnosis. A part of my role as Behavior Analyst is writing teaching programs for children with developmental disabilities such as autism including ADHD. During my tutoring experience with Wyzant, I have also tutored students with an ADHD diagnosis. For my educational training, I have a masters degree with Psychology.

Outstanding Tutor

Ashley tutored our son for several months and we were very pleased with her. She was patient, but mostly she took a real, earnest interest in helping him achieve grade level goals that otherwise he would not have achieved. She asked about his interests (American History/Presidents/sports) and put together lessons that included educational games, etc. pertaining to his interests. She was always smiling and genuinely happy to help him. She cared about him and she cared enough to do extra work to help him with his difficulties. I think she actually knew how to help him more effectively than his Special Ed teachers at school. She's very, very smart.

Ashley is a wonderful tutor. She is sweet kind and patient. My son had her for a couple years and he went from below average on MCAS to advanced! Now my 4th grade daughter has her and she has done wonders for her especially with communicating with her teachers.

Great Tutor!

Ashley was an amazing tutor and help my 12 year old daughter so much. She has a difficult time learning Math but with Ashley's assistance she became more confident is taking her Math tests and doubt her homework. There's no better feeling than seeing your child improve drastically in a subject they dreaded. Thanks to Ashley, my daughter has a better understanding when it comes to Math. I definitely would recommend her to any child in need of a math tutor! We loved her!
