I received my Master's and doctoral degree in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. I was a teaching assistant from EPI-1 Thru Epi-3 Courses during my academic training. I was teaching Principles of Epidemiology, Statistical Methods applied to Epidemiology and tutoring post-graduate students at Morgan State University in Baltimore. I have been working on a daily basis, applying the epidemiological concepts in real world problems through my career. Also, I have been invited professor for epidemiology methods applied in public health in international settings. My tutoring methods start reviewing the basic concepts such as incidence, prevalence, morbidity, and mortality indicators. Then, moving to determine causal and non-causal associations among risk factors and diseases, identifying and controlling for confounders, and creating models to explain the disease causation. All of these elements are going through a step by step process to facilitate the understanding of the essential concepts.
