A daughter of two professors, I have been involved in education my entire life. At a young age, I was in advanced, honors, and AP classes. My structured upbringing has equipped me with knowledge and resources to help students organize, structure, and plan their own learning and study habits.

For undergrad, I attended the University of Maryland College Park, where I majored in Environmental Science and Policy with a focus in Wildlife Ecology and Management. I then went on to complete my Masters degree in Environmental Education at Florida Institute of Technology. I am also ABD for my PhD in Biological Sciences at Florida Institute of Technology, where my research was focused on the effects of climate change on king crab populations in Antarctica.

Throughout my education, I have served as a grade school tutor, teaching assistant, educator in multiple zoos and aquariums, and adjunct professor. Some courses I have taught are Environmental Sustainability, General Biology, Writing for Ecology, Ecological Statistics, College Prep, Earth in Focus, and more.

I know students learn in different ways, so I focus on multiple methods of teaching to ensure all of my students understand the material. My teaching style is collaborative, so students feel free to ask questions and discuss topics.

I have had to write throughout my education and have administered and graded term papers and smaller writing assignments throughout my teaching experience. I have also been published in a peer-reviewed journal for my PhD research (mentioned in my bio).
