My name is Angi M. I was born in Santa Monica and have lived in California most of my life. I spent many years in medicine , pharmacy and nursing school. My greatest joy comes from teaching humanities , math and music.
 Math includes 30 years tutoring and teaching Elementary math, Geometry , and Algebra
.Humanities includes literature, history, English , music, guitar, audio engineering, and music business law. I have also taught song writing (music and lyrics) , audio engineering ( Pro Tools, Logic, Izotope.) I have about 20 years of experience in the music industry as a producer, engineer, lead guitarist and song writer.
I enjoy working with students all ages and learning skill levels. I have about 30 yrs of experience teaching students with severe learning disabilities. In addition, I have helped many foreign exchange students from Japan, China, the Middle East, Brazil, Spain, and Mexico.
My most rewarding accomplishment was with a mentally disabled student from India named Priya. She had failed English 101 three times. Because she was on academic probation, this was her last chance to pass English 101 without being disqualified. Priya had lost all hope and wanted to drop out of college. I encouraged Priya and helped her work on her self esteem and study skills. As a result, she graduated from Santa Monica College. Some of her classes included English 101 , American History, and music . Her father told me that I was the only teacher or tutor with any success. I really cared about Priya. I feel that her success was due in large part to my patient tutoring.
