About Lourdes

Bio

While growing up, in Mexico City, I had the opportunity of being an exchange student in England, Spain, and the United States. These experiences made me realize the importance of learning a foreign language and a country's culture.

I hold a degree in Communications with a major in advertising and broadcasting from prestigious international Anahuac University, Mexico City campus. While living in Mexico City I worked as a copywriter, voice-over talent, creating content and directing...

While growing up, in Mexico City, I had the opportunity of being an exchange student in England, Spain, and the United States. These experiences made me realize the importance of learning a foreign language and a country's culture.

I hold a degree in Communications with a major in advertising and broadcasting from prestigious international Anahuac University, Mexico City campus. While living in Mexico City I worked as a copywriter, voice-over talent, creating content and directing commercials and demos for Spanish broadcasting networks and corporate companies. I started teaching and tutoring students during the years I lived there. I love to teach. After college and while working I had the opportunity to study in Philadelphia as an international student, I graduated Valedictorian in Business Entertainment from the AiPH. During the following years I realized there was an upcoming trend, Spanish was becoming the second language in the United States of America. I saw the need for imparting the language in a professional manner. Anyone can speak but no everybody can teach. It is important to have a well prepared native speaker tutor, preferably, for those seeking the best tutoring or help.

As a language consultant and tutor, I have a wide experience in all areas of the Spanish Language. I work with different clients that range from very young students to college graduates all the way to executives and entrepreneurs. All with different levels and objectives.

In this journey, I have realized the importance of learning and speaking Spanish in the current work climate. I have given conferences at a major tv network to emphasize the relevance and importance of Spanish for the United States.

Excellent Spanish Tutor!!

My daughter said she learned more from Lourdes in 2 hours than she did from her teacher in a year. Lourdes always responded to my emails in a timely fashion, she is very thorough and my daughter enjoyed her tutoring. I would highly recommend her as a Spanish tutor. 5 stars to her. Lourdes had no problem calling me, to discuss the situation and was willing to help out in any way that she could. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a Spanish/English tutor.

I love Lourdes as a Spanish teacher for my daughter. Her energetic personality made learning fun. She has many great textbooks too. She knows how to appeal to a 7 year-old's learning style by using cryaons(my daughter loves drawing pictures) and keeping her engaged. She always explains to me what my daughter learns each class. Lourdes is very good with my daughter who was struggling with 9th grade Spanish. She was able to immediately connect with my 15 year old. An Excellent Spanish tutor!

My son started working with her after repeatedly receiving Ds in his Spanish class. I was worried sick that he might end the course with a C or worse a D, so I hoped that Senora Lourdes could help him learn Spanish better. After meeting with Senora every Monday, my son's Spanish score heightened to a stable B and stopped his parade of C or D quiz grades. According to my son, Senora was not only a good teacher but a good person with a friendly personality and he had fun learning the subject with her. I can't imagine what his grade would have been if it wasn't for Senora Lourdes who constantly reminded him of his forgotten vocabularies and grammar rules from his earlier Spanish classes and my son told me how she patiently went over the peculiar grammar rules. I recommend Senora Lourdes to anyone who needs some help in his or her Spanish course. She's overall friendly, encouraging, humorous and (obviously) good at Spanish!
