To Whom It May Concern,
I am a full-time Instructor of Mathematics and currently teach at the community college level. I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in Fall 2018 with a B.S. in Mathematics. I later graduated from the University of Rhode Island (URI) in Spring 2021 with an M.S. in Mathematics. I spent two years as a teaching assistant at URI, during which time I taught one section of Intermediate Algebra and three sections of Applied Calculus. Since graduating from URI, I have taught several sections of Algebra and Calculus courses at the community college level.
Almost all of my teaching experience has been with non-major students, those who are not majoring in a discipline closely related to Mathematics. My experience has also been divided equally in terms of teaching online and teaching in person, so I am very flexible with teaching in both formats. I am extremely patient and caring when it comes to teaching my students. I believe that to be an effective educator, one needs to work as diligently as then can to learn as much as they can about their students.
Sincerely,
Brian W.
