About Hiroshi

Bio

I am currently performing and playing on tour as a professional musician. I have taught in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
I have recorded and toured with artists such as Paul Anka, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Gary Wright, Michael Buble, Quincy Jones, Fifth Dimension, and many others.

Before I moved to Las Vegas, I had 14 private students. All were at different levels, and I custom made lessons for each individual. I taught piano pop, boogie woogie, jazz, Broadway, classical, and also...

I am currently performing and playing on tour as a professional musician. I have taught in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
I have recorded and toured with artists such as Paul Anka, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Gary Wright, Michael Buble, Quincy Jones, Fifth Dimension, and many others.

Before I moved to Las Vegas, I had 14 private students. All were at different levels, and I custom made lessons for each individual. I taught piano pop, boogie woogie, jazz, Broadway, classical, and also taught songwriting along with theory and harmony. I talk to the student and find out what they want to achieve and with fun and work, we work towards that goal.
6 of my students after graduating went onto study music and majored in music in college.

I studied voice privately for years and went to college as minor in voice and sang on a touring choir in college. Sang at many events as lead and backup singer. Was coach for major record label on recordings etc. Having a background as a pianist has been helpful as well. In teaching I apply the methods I have learned from past instructors and my college and private teachers.
Songwriting

I started songwriting years ago and submitted songs that have been recorded by major artists and won quite a few awards participating in songwriting contests. Most recent was past year I placed in top 5 finalist in Song of The Year Contest. I also was a staff writer on contract for a year as songwriter with a song publisher. I taught songwriting as well in LA.

He has excellent knowledge of the topics and more importantly the temperament to teach others.

He has broad experience of the field and provided good grounding in basic aspects of music composition. First hour of lessons, he gave a good demonstration of chord progression.
