I am Carlos. I am Cuban and have a BA in English Language with a minor in Linguistics plus a BA in Theology. I have taught English to adults in Cuba for 24 years, both in college and language schools. I have also been an ordained priest for 10 years and have conducted Bible studies all this time and even for 9 years prior to ordination, as a lay minister. Teaching is my passion and it comes to me as a natural gift. Being a native speaker of Spanish, I find it easier to teach persons whose native language is Spanish although I feel capable of teaching persons from different linguistic backgrounds.
I prefer the use of updated methods, with a communicative and interactive approach. Although I have taught whole classes, I also have some experience teaching on a one to one setting. I like to personalize my teaching and am open to suggestions from my students as to the methods they find that help them most in their learning.

I have a 24-year experience teaching English as a foreign language in Cuba. I got the Associate Professor rank while working at the University of Camagüey in Cuba. I had to take several post graduate courses on teaching methodology and ESL/EFL teaching strategies. I have a BA in Theology and a 10-year experience as an ordained Episcopal priest. I have a sound biblical and theological knowledge to prepare and conduct Bible studies.
