Great Tutor!

My 6 year old daughter is very shy, but was instantly put at ease by Kelly (not an easy task, especially over Zoom). In fact, I scheduled the first session for a 1/2 hour mainly as a 'break the ice' meet n greet, but my daughter wanted to go the full hour right away after meeting and jumping into the lesson. I highly recommend Kelly--she's thoughtful, professional, thorough, warm, kind and EFFECTIVE.

Upbeat, clear, patient and kind.

My daughter, aged 10, worked on proportions of the face in portraiture. Kelly was patient with us getting up to speed online and gav a clear vision effective lesson.

Excellent instructor

Kelly's preparation and follow-up are exceptional. Her instruction has helped me to make measurable improvements with each class. This format for virtual classes has worked out much better than I imagined. I believe that Kelly's preparation contributes to that. I highly recommend Kelly K. She is a knowledgeable instructor.

Kelly was GREAT!

I was kind of apprehensive about having an art lesson but Kelly put me at ease and I learned a lot in one lesson. We worked on a painting I had started and she showed me how to really give depth to flowers (roses), which I don't think I could have learned on my own. I recommend her totally. Susan R.

Experienced and very patient with my son!

Kelly has been fantastic! She is clearly very experienced with ADHD, and takes the necessary time with my son to break down assignments so he can understand them better and manage his time more efficiently. NOT all GREAT minds think alike, and Kelly definitely understands this!!!

Knowledgeable, informative and fun!

Kelly is teaching me about oil painting. She was able to break down and explain so many things to me. We are currently working on various techniques used in oil painting. It was so much fun and so informative. I look forward to my next lesson!

Kelly's great!

Kelly has been my daughter's tutor for college-level drawing classes for 1.5 years. She was our first tutor through Wyzant, and the experience has been so helpful and productive that I have actually recommended Wyzant to other parents! I feel very fortunate to have found her profile among the many tutors available. Kelly has provided excellent instruction and feedback to my daughter. The drawing classes were the classes that I was most afraid my daughter would struggle in. After each tutoring session, Kelly provided me with a detailed summary of the concepts covered in the session and let me know how my daughter was doing. With Kelly's instruction to support any challenges my daughter incurred, I haven't had to fret about her progress hardly at all. Not only does Kelly have the knowledge needed to tutor, she also has the teaching skills necessary to explain the concepts to the students she tutors. My daughter usually does not connect with new people very quickly, but she connected with Kelly right away. I think Kelly's approachable demeanor was key to that, and it made their tutoring sessions more productive. Kelly has also been very skilled at managing my daughter's short attention span during the tutoring sessions. In short, Kelly is a great tutor, and I highly recommend her.

She taught me techniques that i didn't know were possible in a fun and retain-able way. She helped me become confident in new art tools that i had no idea what to do with them. Thanks Kelly can't wait for the next lesson!
