Bio

Hello, I am a reading/math interventionist in a K-4 school. I have been in this position for five years. I am Wyzant certified to provide Elementary lessons K-4th grade!

Previously, I was a classroom teacher for eight years. In my position as an interventionist, I use a variety of research based programs to help students excel that have reading/math needs. My goal is to provide targeted interventions for your child while helping them succeed and feel confident in their learning. I will communicate with your child's teacher and report on their progress and share my data from our sessions. Teamwork is the best way to help your child succeed!

In my years of tutoring experience, I have also provided enrichment math, reading, and writing lessons. I thoroughly enjoy working with students with a variety of needs! I’m eager to provide one on one, hands on exciting activities to further your child’s education! My goal is to help your child be a confident lifelong learner! :)

I have one year experience teaching "fundations" program. This program teaches students how to properly write each letter using the correct lines. Know key vocabulary for each line and where each letter needs to rest on it. This was a program that was co-taught with a first grade teacher. I also teach my third graders cursive. We study each letter and practice the correct formation of these letters.
