I am a musician and music educator. As a professor of music education, I have taught piano for many years. I have a doctorate in music education from Boston University. A life-long lover of music, my strengths are in the areas of piano, guitar, voice, and music fundamentals. I specialize in working with intermediate through adult music students to help them overcome performance anxiety. I am also qualified to help prepare high school music students for their auditions for college music program acceptance.
As a professor I have experience working with students with special needs. I believe that all students are capable of learning, regardless of their learning differences, and I strive to provide a learning environment that is joyful as well as productive. I believe in teaching according to the individual needs of the student.
