I am a Reading Specialist in New Jersey with over 15 years of experience. I have Project Read, Orton Gillingham and Fundations multi sensory training as well as a Masters Degree in Reading. I also have experience with the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark assessment kit, Developmental Reading Assessment, and QRI. These assessment tools are utilized to determine reading levels based on reading accuracy and text comprehension.

I utilize whatever method works best to ensure that my students grow as readers. I use a balanced approach to teach reading which includes comprehension strategies, word attack skills, phonics, both authentic texts and phonic readers. If your child is dyslexic I will utilize Orton Gillingham, which is the best program for dyslexia. I am certified in this approach.
