Hi! My name is Kelly and I am a senior neuroscience major at the University of Texas at Austin. I am from just outside of D.C. and have two younger brothers. One of my brothers is in 6th grade and calls me weekly to help with math, Spanish, and English. The other as a senior in high school would have his whole friend group call me when they had chemistry homework, and I would do group tutoring for them. In high school, I was a peer tutor of math (algebra, geometry, and calculus), English, Spanish, and science (chemistry, biology, and physics). I also worked in the writing center helping with freshman through senior English classes.
In college, I worked as a virtual STEM tutor for elementary through middle schoolers. I have also worked in helping younger elementary school students learning to read. Additionally, I was a substitute writing teacher for 3rd, 7th, and 8th grade neurodiverse students over the summer.
I have extensive tutoring experience working with children and peers (ages 7-20) on a variety of subjects. My goal is to grow their confidence on the subject material and their confidence within themselves as intelligent students.
