I hold a PhD in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine and a bachelor's in medical lab science. I am currently registered as a medical lab scientist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and I did work in a hospital as an MLS for three years. I have experience teaching or tutoring medical histology, medical microbiology, biology and Regent's Prep for living systems, AP biology prep, chemistry, biomedical research methods, algebra, ACT prep, swimming, elementary math, American history and government, piano and violin.
In my spare time, I like to garden, play violin and piano, swim, Irish dance, bake, creative write and play with my daughters and husband.
I love to make sense of science for my students. Science is not memorization and could never successfully be. Science needs to be understood, not drilled. I bring a vast understanding of science that helps the student to make connections rather than memorize.
